Mood Matters (Adults)
A 2-hour mental health awareness session that promotes self-care, helps identify signs of poor mental health, and highlights where to get support.
Mood Matters for Adults is a free two-hour-long mental health awareness workshop. The workshop provides a general introduction to mental health and helps participants look after their mental health and wellbeing. It also teaches them to recognise the signs and symptoms of poor mental health and makes them aware of sources of help.
We deliver the session either online or face-to-face, and anyone with an interest in looking after their mental health is welcome to apply.
Programme content includes:
- What is mental health?
- Mental health problems vs mental illness
- Looking after our mental health
- Things that affect our mental health
- Mental ill-health conditions including signs and symptoms of stress and depression
- Sources of help
This programme sits within Tier One of the Public Health Agency (PHA) Mental and Emotional Health and Wellbeing and Suicide Prevention Training Framework.
